mpc 2kxl or 1000

hi i am not sure which to get i ad the 2k for a while but i had to sell it iv herd that the mpc 2kxl is very good but the 1000 is newer can any one give me any addivce on which is better thanks

If you are choosing gear thinking about repairs in advance,the safest way would be not to buy any stuff don't you think ?
Well,of course it's not very wise and just to answer your question - I wote for 2000xl.Not because I've got one,but because before buing this great peace of equipment I did a pretty wide research (1k vs 2kxl) and read about both machines.2000xl won the battle in my opinion.
Look at the details and think what you gonna use it for.Is it just sequencing your other machines with 2kxl or making heavy beats in one tool.There is a lot to think about

They still have the XL-MCD out though ne new updates wont be coming. With the new updates/OS i say go for the mpc1000 but ITS UP TO YOU.

brought the xl a min ago it looks a great deal orginala box manuals zip drive and zip disks for the price of most other mpc's xl on ebay

I vote for the 1k with the new OS update (4.01) . The 2000 is nice but the 32 meg RAM is a big turn off for me, and it is so hard to install an harddrive, but like they say depends on what your using it for. The new OS give the 1k more "stuff" than the 2k, check it out!
