Anyone care to share some tips about tricks on sequence editing on the 4000?

You may have already done this... but if you are in sequence edit mode, you can hold down the shift button and turn the jog wheel to select numerous beats across the the grid and copy and paste a section of a bar for some nice repeat effects.

I haven't quite figured out how to copy and paste individual notes in the edit grid, can you run this down for me. I am gonna try that trick you just mentioned that's one of the operations I've been wondering about. And I think there is a fix to my song to sequence question I posted previously. Appearantly there is a mode that converts and holds your mutes according to the 1st sequence in the song, and another that plays everything as it was programed in sequence mode. Still need to figure out how though :? but once I do I will post the solution. Big up!

OK peep this:

1. hit 'seq edit'
2. select the track you want.
3. set the timing correct (I usually use 1/16 or 1/32.)
4. Hold down the shift button and scroll the jog to the right to select the first bar.
5. hit 'copy'
6. in the 'copy data' window, change the Pad: to ALL
7. hit 'library' The first bar will be named new_phrase
8. go back to the grid and move to the beat where you want to paste the new phrase
9. hit 'paste' in the 'paste data' page you can select the phrase you want to past from the Library.. You can also choose to 'replace' or 'merge' the data
10. hit library and your done
11. If you dont like it, just hit 'undo' or 'shift' + 'undo' to redo it.

Good luck
