Is there anyway to indicate the internal peaking? i was thinking of moding the unit with a peak light to indicate when there is internal peaking or even some kind of OS update that would include some kinda indicator. Also would there be any way to put tubes inside the MP so it sounds better when it starts to peak?
Thanks.

The answer is no. You have a few ideas that i'm sure everyone would like, but it's not gonna happen.

All these can be done externally and would cost a lot less than any mod job.

To insert a tube path into an MPC would cost a ton and compromise the working of the machine.

To put metering into the same box would be a great idea as the MPC is meant to be an all in one sequencing solution.
Hell, even a LED meter would do.
VUs would be sexy though.

BUT, expecting Akai to actually listen to consumer requests is as likely to happen as Cruise coming out.

All of that hardware placed into and mpc would drive the cost up alot, some people **** and whine about the cost already.

Those are like specialty hardware mods at this point in time.
