Static....white noise

I was sampling from some CDs today to build a track. I had the drums and melody complete. I loaded another CD and then played my track.....than I didn't hear anything but white noise. I was so upset because I thought I'd lost the track. But I saved it anyway. I had to turn it off and then back on to fix the problem. I reloaded the track, and everything is fine.

I had something happen to me like that before a few times but couldnt recreate it willingly to pinpoint why. That was a while ago. Hasnt happen since.
