i'm having a problem with the accuracy of auto chop. it finds the hits fine, but the actual hit points are way out of whack. i have to adjust them manually anyways.. i know it depends on the sample.. HOWEVER i slice my breaks with rediculous precision in soundforge & then convert it to a rex in recycle. once its in recycle i 'save as one sample' a copy of the break played back at about 50bpm. this leaves me with a big ass file that has totally separated drum hits. digital silence between the hits. nada. this makes it easier for me to chop hits & make patched phrases when working on the mpc.. i just vertical zoom all the way in and when i see shade i know i'm cutting at the zero-crossing of the hit. anyways when i use autochop no matter what setting i choose i can never get it to chop at exactly the beginning of the drum hits. it gets all the hits right.. but its never exactly at the beginning. i wouldn't be complaining but the break has HUGE gaps inbetween the drums. there has to be a way to make autochop select each hit precisely. i would be in heaven if autochop could accomplish this. i can email a loop to anyone who wants to try to find a setting that will do it.
