Yoot...1 question mate...
how are you getting your samples into the 4k.
USB (does it work), HD or cd???
cheers.
I drag n' drop samples into Ak.sys which then gets fed (via USB) into the 4k. That's only way I'm doing it coz of the already stored samples on my Mac. If I was gonna sample something then I'd use my Apogee A/D converter, get it into my Mac HD then drag n' drop into MPC to get best results.
As for CDs/CD ROMs I'd copy onto my Mac HD then drag n' drop again. You don't really need the CD ROM & MPC HD - this is why they're optional rather than standard & keeps the price down (which is great especially if you don't have use for it). I think this is the way if you have a mass storage system, otherwise that option is handy.
wicked...
can you save All sequences and samples and songs to the mac this way too then.
also, hows the 4k goin...any issues so far. so when you gonna collect your new beast then?
as soon as you go down to DV let us know...i wanna try this beast out properly at home. spoke to will today again and he said he will let me know when its freed up... but let us know anyways.
cheers. enjoy the beat making.
