Pick up ableton Live 6 on the weekend got racks working and came across the macro ideas of using Qlink recieve page Part or FX assign to Ext controller and replacet. Next go to Program matrix assign Ext as the source and asssigning to multiple destinations LFO Depth, Ampltude, Filter, and etc with different depth settings on each -50 or +50 to tweak away.

Mode of operation I pick up on Live 6 using the instrument racks marcos that I transfer back to my 4k. Also I had a previous post of Envelope settings I learned on Live 5 that I transferred by to the 4k using Seq Edit to Part mixers and pad mixers inserts.

Have fun. 8)

Japan is a big country and if you call Pro Audio Japan (former Akai Japan) ask for Mr. Nakamura and he would give ya free demostrations and everything.

e-Book its interesting however ROB was supposed to have completed that project back in July I wondered what happened?

LT= means what?

Anyways just check the posts and the tips and tricks thread.

Peace out.

Doh!!!!!! Yeah sometimes I hit the wrong button I was in a middle of recording when I hit it and didn`t check my message.

By the way use controller in program matrix if you want to change just the pad parameters and don`t forget that you have to set all the other pads depth setting to zero so as not to affect them.

Plus using Ext you can control fx also in receive page. Those macro parameters in Live 6 gave me wonderful ideas for program matrixs. 4k is a monster yeahh.

Live 6 is very very nice too 8)

:

I could have explained Lives Macros much better than this so please dont write a book on this your knowledge on live is rather limited. Even the way you explain it makes it sound far to complicated.

basically assign a Q link or a slider to a macro in live'. A live macro can be assigned to a number of parameters so for example you could control simplers filter and release time with one Q link, you could also have the same slider mixing in reverb or something, anything actually.

I suggest you intentionally complicate matters to make your self look genius. Well Im here now and your going to get competition. :wink:

Drumtrack couldn`t have explained it better. I have no need for competition but if you want to help out on the 4K please be my guest. I assume you finally picked up the 4k good for you to do your OWN RESEARCH yeah!

Just cuz I didn`t hold your hand between buying the MV8000 or a 4k is no reason to catch feelings. The post explains itself and if you misunderstood it but in more work on your 4k and post what you learn in the future.

Remember just master the 4k and help others simple. And please read the manual is it your friend. :wink:
