Cursor Sticking

Hello!
I am new here. This place is awesome!
I am thinking about buying a used mpc2000xl from a dude for $600. The onyl problem with it is that you have to press down hard on the cursor sometimes. Will the problem significantly affect the machines performance? Is it easy to fix? Should I pay $600 for a machine that has this problem?
Any feedback would be helpful.

The cursor is very important to me when i use my MPC. Although i know a guy who never uses the curson buttons or the NV slider on his MPC.

I wouldn't reccomend it.
