Any reasons why I shouldn't get the MPC1000?

Hello all,
I am new to this forum and a complete newbie with MPC's.I have never used a MPC before,was working with software but I have finally decided to get one of these boys.The 1k looks the perfect choise for me and its the only 1 I can afford at the moment.I wanted to ask all of you 1k users,do you have any reasons why I shouldn't get the 1k?I have never touched hardware before,is it easy to learn playing with it?And something last,I checked on Ebay and found the 2500 for the price of a new 1k,is the 2500 so much better than the 1k?Which one would you suggest for a starter?Peace.

I already did,but I don't understand all these technical terms to be honest.

All MPCs do basically the same thing.
probably the 1000 would be the best thing. a common complaint about it is, some people say it feels cheap and they don't like the pads. but try it for urself.

I think that any MPC would be a good one to start with if your really serious about learning it. So look at your needs and budget then just pick the one you like the best.

Ok I think I am going with the 1k,but I have another question,why is the black more expensive than the blue one?Is there any diference?

the black mpc is a different color.

whats the price difference? on sites all i ever see is the black one for $1000, i dont see the blue ones.. whats their price?

You found a 2500 for the price of a new 1000!?! If it's in good shape, pick that up. Like everyone said they all pretty much do the same thing, but the 2500 does have a better feel to it it's bigger and more spacious, making it more comfortable to work with. (ALWAYS use caution when buying on ebay)

you read it wrong, i meant the black version of the 1000

Yes I did,but they guy tried to fool me by doing business outside of ebay.

Damn.All these stuff im hearing about the 1k's pads are holding me back from getting it.The 2500 has bigger pads,but are they better than the 1k ones?If I get the 1k,Ill get it used from ebay,so this pad thing really sucks.But a used 2500 can't be that bad(like the 1k) in terms of pad feel/quality,can it?

what up people? im just like starmanwarz. new to hardware and mpc's and stuff. i was all software and would like a change. i was looking at the mpc 1000, mpc 500, and that roland sp606. im looking for a good beginners machine. i got to play with a mpc 1000 for few today but didnt know what the hell i was doing but i really one.

mpc1k was my first piece of hardware... it is treating me very well

i havnt experienced any pad problems, any saving problems.. anything

had it for almost two months now
