bingerO is pointing you that direction ,
i personally perfer the dirt style ones(dstyle) but thats me they have nice classic sounds that i started out with back in the 80's i have all the OG they got them from and more , but this way i dont have to use them and mess mine up you know?

cop some skipless ones to get started cause you'll be heavy handed at first, but after a while add some non skipless ones so that you learn not to be heavy handed, feel me?

all you really need is one battle record with the usual sounds on it "ahhhhh" "freshhhh" etc. and some beats. that should keep you busy for quite a while :wink:
