Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

stupid question i know, but i bought a used mpc 2500 and it looks like whoever had it before me deleted all the samples. so i have nothing to start with. i guess im going to download samples that are for sale on ebay. my question is what kind of wire thing do i need to do it. and is that all i need?

Samples are stored in RAM. This means that you need to have samples saved to the optional hard drive or the included compact flash card. If you have either or both, your next step is to get a USB cable and connect you MPC to your computer. You will go into your UTIL folder on the mpc and select USB. This will allow you to access your MPC via your computer as you wold connect to any hard drive ie my computer (windows) or desktop mounted drives (mac).
