Harddrive + new OS

whats up everybody, just wanted to know if there are any problems using/saving with the new OS 4.00 onto any of the installed harddrives? I have the new OS 4.00 which is dope but I only use a 1GB memory card right now, I am interested in buying the 40 or 80GB harddrive for the mpc and wanted to know if the OS saves well onto the harddrives?

It seems to save great for me on a 80gb hdd. It hasn't even been reformatted since os 2.1.

be careful. now... always backup your data. and you should reformat your hd asap.

For what reason if it has no problems? Remember that ol saying? "If it aint broke dont fix it"

the file error bugs were fixed as of 4.0 i believe. i didn't really get file errors that much however i noticed some older stuff i saved.. i was unable to copy from the mpc hd to my computer and consequently unable to load this corrupted data either. if i were you i would backup all of your data then reformat & copy it back on just to be safe.
