no samples..

i just bought a used mpc 2500. well i have been tryng to learn how to use it and it is so hard. i have been searching for the samples on it and realized that the samples must have been deleted. so what should i do i have an unusable piece of equipment. i have a usb port to d/l samples. is there a place i can get free ones. i know it should have came with some but its empty. i really want to start working with it but its seeming impossible. i need help please help..

Nope. Basically, when you buy an MPC you should be able to power it up and make hits with all the samples that are included. Thats the whole purpose of an MPC right? The 2500's come with Lil' Jon, Dr. Dre, and Preemo samples already loaded. If you dont have those, you got ripped off.

I'm sorry. I'm just messing with you. No MPC has pre-loaded sounds. You have to sample them into the machine or load compatable files. READ YOUR MANUAL! After you do that, you should be good. If you do not have the manual, go to the Akai website and download it.

u cant be seriuos i just saved for so long and i cant do anything about it? even if i d/l new samples i dont even know how to do that. im trying to d/l free ones and i cant figure it out this sucks soooo. much im really about to flip.

oh my god u had me shook.... i keep trying to d/l samples even reading the manuals not helping. iall im supposed to do isplug in the usb,thenthe screen comes up that says mpc then i drag the wav samples ino it then press load. but then how do i find them

Please read the manual. Everything you need to know is in there. Look at the index and find what you need and read the chapter. It's very simple. I dont mean to sound like a dick but too many people come in here expecting to have people teach them to use their machine. You spent a lot of money on it, the least you can do is read up!

No, you sound like someone who bought a machine thats worth a lot of money and dont know how to use it. Thats fine, we all have to start somewhere. Just open the manual and play around with the 2500. You'll get it. Believe me, when you put time into the machine you'll get a lot back!

First of all , do you have a CF-Card?
A compact-flash card, you know , a memory card that goes into that hole in the front of the mpc?
If you don't have a harddrive and don't have a CF-card you have nowhere to save the samples to.

And second , if you really can't figure out how to use this machine by yourself , or clearly don't want to spend more than 5 minutes to learn how to work it, i suggest you buy the E-book from mpc-tutor http://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php/88/0/
It even has some samples included.
