You'll find what you need if you look in your operators manual, chapter 11, pages 56 & 57. There you'll find info on how to use the time stretch feature.

Timestretch the sample will keep the tempo lagging / speeding within the sample, just change it in relation to the samples new tempo.

What you need to do is to slice your sample and manually adjust the slices to keep tempo intact.

Or timestretch the individual slices to compensate the tempo changes.

Or keep the sample wobbly, disable TC and lay down further samples around according to the samples original groove.

Question, do any of you guys use Sony SoundForge 8.0? This is where I do all of my time tretching/compression, then (maybe) transfer it to the mpc for additional editing. IMHO it does a better job (on MY pc) than trying to accomplish the same task on a mpc (I've tried the time stretch/compress on a mpc already). The reason I stated "MY pc" is that I can't vouch for another mans computer. I mean some folks are still using what I term as minimal performance when it comes to computers. Just because you have an 'ol pc does'nt mean it will take care of your audio needs. So try some of the things you're use to doing on a mpc, try it on a updated computer w/ the appropriate s/w of course. :)
