2000xl vs. 2500 What is the better buy?

I am most likely buying a mpc within the next few months and I was wondering which mpc is I guess better? What options does the one have that the other doesn't? And which is a better buy? (more bang for the buck) I appreciate the feedback.

if it helps at all, i owned an XL and made the switch to the 2500. i wouldn't go back.

I love my XL but I have never used a 2500, so I can't really say which is better!!!!

2kxl probably go for half as much as 2500 nowadays. more bang for the buck, pound for pound.

but you can most definitely get a used 2000XL for around 600 bucks and up.

ok cool. Do you guys think its worth spending the couple more hundred bucks for 2500 or no? Because right now I'm kind of leaning on the 2500 but is there anything that you could tell me that would make me change my mind (other than the price difference)? Thanks

Well I don't know which way this comment will lean your perspective but.......

The XL is a really solid machine, but I the little things that they've added to the 2500.

if you get a 2000XL you'll wanna get a card reader because ZIP Drives suck. 2500 can USB straight to your PC very usefull!

if you paid msrp for your mpc, you got ripped.

yea i did realize that. That is a plus. But I just realized that this whole topic I was asking the difference between the 2000xl and the 2500. And what I meant to ask you guys was the difference between the 2500 and the newer 2000xl (the blue one). The MCD. lol. Sorry for the confusion. Because I thought that the 2000xl MCD didnt need a zip drive.
