MPC and Cubase (or other) and Keyboard

I very newbies in MAO,

and i want to know what is your configuration with the MPC 1000 and your sequencer ? How the component are hooked beetween them ? How do you work with them ? The MPC for what, the sequencer for what ?

In pratice is it normaly to use the sequencer of the MPC ( beat, sample ) and the sequencer of the software ( making intro and outro, nappe, sample also ) !!!

Have never test that, because my sound card is very cheap and the MIDI does'nt work correctly. I Know that MPC can be sync with a software but i hear that i have to start to play at the beggining of the sequence !!! without that the synchronisation doesnt work !!! Is not easy when you want to work on a part of a track ....

i realy lost : i ve a MPC, a sequencer, and a midi Keyboard controller what is the best configuration to hook all the component !!!

Mpc midi out "1" to your keyboard midi in
Mpc midi in "a" from your keyboard midi out
Mpc midi in "b" from the midi out of your computer

I think this is the best way......you can use ur computer to control playback / record into the software.......what type of soundcard do you have

For the moment my sound card is out !!!

So i think i will by an M-Audio 24/96 (pci)

I think i'll buy my sound card in 3 week cause i'am in holiday to night and i go in Canada (i leave in france), maybe the price are cheap in this country than in France.
Just one question with the keyboard hook like that can i control Vsti in Cubase ?
