big slick was it actaully that micron board that your man used??

By all measn give it a go but buy only from a acompany which will refund you if it doesn't work. I think you probably need to find the exact manufacturer and part number that worked. I'm not sure that any RAM with the same spec will necessarily do it...

cool, looks like they used some specs that they found posted here to figure this out. heres the same chip number in the USA.....

got it. tried it. trys to memory test 64MB and fails on the 4th pass.....

BUT on the green circuit board part of the chip it says pc100, even tho the sticker on the chip and packaging all say pc133.

i'm gonna call transcend and see if i can get a tech on the phone...

.......i was on the phone with transcend engineer for like 1/2 hour and the guy even tried to look up this thread, we figured out that the chip i have is [AV] and not [BB] as required. also the new chip is $35 instead of $48....

new part number end with G not C

TS16MSS64V6G should (hopefully) work

i am going to miami for WMC for a week but maybe i will have the new one shipped to my hotel ? i dunno yet but i will post the results asap....
