i'm new to this board, but have been an mpc user since the mpc60. i also have a 2000 and now a 1000. my problem is this. i have several folders on my cf card (kicks, snares, hats, etc.) if i load sounds all from the same folder everything is fine, but when i switch from loading from the kicks folder and start loading from the snare folder most of my kicks seem to disappear into thin air. i'm not overwriting them or anything, they just seem to be gone. i have os 1.03 right out of the box. i don't think i'm making any stupid mistakes, but you never know. if anyone has any experience with this i would certainly appreciate it.

maybe ure not assigned them to a different pad ......

why dont u load up what sounds u want for a drum kit..... then save it as a program ...... and load up the program after that

for me ... i just keep all my sample on the CF without a folder ...

then i save my songs into folders

i know i'm not writing over them. it's really strange because also when i preview a sample from a different folder i can't hear any of the other samples from other folders. so if i want to keep the sample and assign it to a pad, i can't hit another pad to see if i've already put something there.
after i load the sample it will be on that pad, but the samples from the other folders are gone. i think it may be the folders as well, not sure why but....
if anyone else could chime in whether they use folders or not i would really appreciate it.
