MPC settings remembered when powered on

OK...so I made an autoload folder with a program that just had the mpc settings how I want it to be when it's turned on. It works! Everything is fine for when I want to start working on a NEW beat.

However, here is the problem. If I want to load a previously saved beat...the programs and samples load, but none of the sequencer info is loaded. Its like my beat is gone.

BUT...when I stopped doing the autoload feature, everything is fine. I can load my previous beats no problem, but of course the MPC doesn't load up how I want it too.

So basically what I'm saying is that JJ should STILL make this a feature that's within the MPC itself. Make it in a way that you DO NOT need an autoload folder...hell you won't even need a compact flash or a hard drive...period. That would be nice!!

Program?

I'm running os4 and what i did was just saved my settings as a sequence- tempo 190, t-sig 8/4, set to 8 bars, track names for 1+2 samples, 3-8 midi only, 9-16 drums/prc, etc., midi channels set up. etc. etc.
saved it to a folder called autoload with Just the sequence

load it up - bam
favorite settings, no more spending 5 minutes messing with changing the tempo and tsig and bars and setting midi up.

im always learning on the mpc

Do you have the "paid" 4.01 OS ?


I run it on my mpc - and only by accident stumbled across this thread!

And it works like a charm (even without autoload folder!)



Like already posted!!!

Just turn your mpc on.
On the main window - highlight "sequence" - press "window" key.
Choose F3 "DEFALT" - (that's how it's written.)
Then change your preferences and hit enter.

Turn your mpc off and on - and it should boot up with your new "DEFALT" settings.

niiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!


At least it works with mine - and a paid JJ-OS 4.01

ups... someone posted that already Yeah although there should be a lot of features saved after hitting MAIN as described by JJ, but saving the Tempo didnt work for me too ...

But thanks for the tip JM... this will find it's way into the next version of the manual!
