What Advantages Does Installing A Hard Drive Give You?

what i mean by that is , is it the same as a compact flash card but just more storage, or does it give you the ability to have larger sample usage.
does the mpc-1000 stream from the hard drive as well as ram or no matter what am I only able to use 128mb of samples?

Hard drive is just like you thought, it only gives you a bigger library to save to. 128 mb ram is the one you can use, no less, no more. Did this help?

thank you and maybe you could answer this, is the editing on the mpc non-destructive, or do I have to have a bunch of copies of the same samples taking up my storage space.

4bar guitar sample, using it straight in one song
chopping the same sample up in another song
mangling the sample in other ways in another song

all without taking up more memory.... is this possible or did i just tripple the space used for that one sample?>

It is destructive. Your 128 MB will probably overflow in an instant.
