umm... why do you have your stuff sitting on foam?

Ko'Les... thankx 4 the love n compliment.

as far as the foam... its bcuz I may adjust the placements of a machine(Digi 002, MPC4k,etc) from where it sits and dont wanna scratch the desk and it also keeps it stable - as whn bass is bumpin, frm above and below speakers, the machines will not vibrate the desk causing vibrant sounds off whn mixing or somethin. I basically use them as a stabilizer. I kno it may take away from the look, but, .... I have 2 listen 2 wht im ding. The truest of the sounds. I dont jst produce, I also mix/engineer.

new site will b in the process showcasin more music and art/pics in near future.

ok, that makes sense. maybe you should isolate the speakers, so there is no vibration etc?

the monitors are also isolated using Auralex Mo'pads... jst using xtra precaution, as I do hip-hop!

Im not gonna recopy da pic but u def have a nice setup. Real clean to. How u likin da Motif?

Nicole

thanks Nicole...I like the feel of the motif, only complaints I got is samplers speed vs mpc and sample load time, since it's usb port speed is only 1.0 not 2.0. Samplers processing speed is a big turn off to even work with samples on that thing. Workaround the sample load time is never turn off the machine, and pray nobody blows a fuse in the house, or run it with a'c battery backup. Other than that it's a hot board, and mLan is cool too.

Nope, all sitting down...I'm bout 6"2 my hands aint that short either, besides the motif is only MPC's height away from me. Alls gotta do is tweak the contrast so you can see good from the angle you at, and that's it. This is by far the most comfortable setup I had so far.

SonicLabsAudio wrote:lol you got to love that tied down / rack mounted mixer its very smooth lol.

I'm no DJ turntable and mixer is for sampling only. The mixer coulda been mounted underneath my bed frame as long as it does what it supposed to do.

Thanks for the compliment; I'm doing a series of photos about Amsterdam producer's cribs so there will be more to come...

About those podspeakers: Yeah, I know... He used to have two different beat-up speakers, so this is an improvement. I even caught him once with his speakers wired out of phase... I go crazy listening to that for more than one second, but he didn't seem to mind.

... His beats are dope though....
