Regarding the Purchase of the Os...?

i'm a new User, i'd like to get the os and I have found it but the page says that the download is free, yet I've read about the cost. is the os free and if not what is the procedure, also it seems like some people are talking alot about a free version besides this paid for version, can someone tell me what's the difference.. i'd really appreciate it.

There are two OSes: 3.0x and 4.0x
Both are free to download, but you can't save with os 4.0x. You need to get a password (30$ via paypal, check resources).
3.0x is free to use, you can save ... but it lacks some features from 4.0x (MTC MMC, Autochromatic assignment, recordable track mute...- I think).

In short:

JJ is brilliant at coding, interface design, Pong and avoiding lawyers.

However, Japanese maths teachers obviously aren't very good.
After 2.1 comes 3.
After 3.05 comes 1.
After 1.05 comes 4.

Don't you think it would be interesting to hear some music made by JJ?

thanks for the help, can anyone confirm what the differences are between the free and paid version, i'd like to know what's worthwile for the $30bucks. and what is Autochromatic assignment?
