Can You Use Midi/Sync With Any Free Sequencer?

Is there a FREE sequencer that is good enough to sync up to the MPC? I have Cubase SX 3 but it won't work and people are telling me that it is an OS error. So is there a free one out there that will let me sync like you can in Cubase?

Not sure about FREE but I am pretty sure it's the MPC that has the sync issue not the DAW. Can anyone confirm this or correct me if I am wrong?

Yeah, it is the MP that has the sync problem. One of the earlier OS's should work, though.

Wait a sec... is this conversation familiar? Haven't I asked you this question before regarding sync? If not, weird... time for me to go to sleep then. lol.

Your version number is top left corner.

Mine is version 1.1 and the sync feature works fine with Digital Performer. I'm not sure how you can get an older OS, but if you find out a way for me to back mine up or something, I'll send it to you.

the question shound be: can it be syncronized with ANY sequencer: Answer - not with the current OS...well at least i tried everything with Logic Pro 7 - no luck

alright so lets all hope that they get this fixed when the next OS comes out...hope it comes out soon cause i would rather not go back to an older OS and have to reformat my HD and all...the one thing i don't get though is why it will sync with Reason 3 but not Cuabse or Protools

1.1 works like a charm for me... except the not recording lower and top ocataves...lol... sync is ithght though... no 1 or 2 bars even needed at the beginning

could somebody @ akai please fix this... sync is essential!
