Just curious... I have searched around but have only found a few random threads regarding this bug. I am on OS 1.1 because I gather that sync works best on this OS BUT my trade off is I can't play bass lines  because the MPC won't record the lowest octave of my Moog. What gives?

Has this been fixed in any of the updates since 1.1?

Um... speaking of updated OS... where can I find the list of OS updates and their fixes on the Akai site?

I go to "Support" and I only see:
MPC1000
Z4/8 OS
MPC4000 OS
MPC2000XL OS
DPS24 OS
MPD16

Look for yourself if you don't believe me:

Am I looking in the wrong place?

well that's kind of strange, no? no wonder why I can't find it... these pages aren't linked to it and the link to their "home" button doesn't work...

If I want to back up my current OS 1.1, is there a way I can do that or is it floating around somewhere?

I think they bump all older operating systems when a new one comes out, but I'm sure someone on here will be happy to hook you up.

Phatty documentation says it receives notes 0-127 and transmits notes 24-108, how it that a MPC problem????
No matter how you slice it the Phatty is a poorly designed unit with a lot of things strangely implemented.
I think it's goes back to who their intended market was.

The phatty is making me bonkers. I have spoke to Moog several times and they are working on a bunch of bug fixes for the new OS. I assumed it was the MPC because I was able to trigger my notes and hear them but they weren't recording in the MPC. Then I found out about the issue the MPC had with recording the lower and upper part of the scale which I see was fixed in 1.21 i believe.

It's working fine on my end and I'm running 1.22.

Yeah. Somone hooked me up with a link to the new OS where I can read the bug fixes, and this was a fix that happened in 1.22

thanks for your input :)
