just want to let you guys know this web site is the Shiznit. My name is MikeVee and I am an electronic producer and was tired of making beats in reason because it sounded so mechanical. I thought shi* what drum machine should I get and I guess being from LA it was most certain that it had to be an MPC. I found a MINT MINT mpc3000LE and bought it and it even came with the original manual. So this is the newbee question what options do I have loading sounds in this thing right now I'm using the floppy drive but it kinda sucks. BTW my platform is a G5 dual 2.0 running Logic 7 and Ableton live and I do have a Midi controller.

zip drives are cheap, but not the most reliable. cf reader would be a better alternative, but harder to find. there are few threads on it with all the info you need.

the syquest ez135 works well too, more reliable than zip and not as finnicky as card readers can be..
