Patch Phrase/Timestretch with version 2.0.1

I've been trying to get the patch phrase time stretch thing to work with the updated OS and I'm having trouble. I followed a tutorial online from the 2500 to a tee & read the manual, but I think there may be something I'm missing with the 1000.

Here's where I'm at:
1)Sample in trim mode
2)press CHOP or SLICE (depending on OS)
3)Set Tempo, convert to Patched Phrase
4)assign sample to pad
5)press 16 pads, pitch

...at that point (in theory) the sample should be spread on the pads in different pitches but with the same tempo (not speeding up the higher I go)

Everything works except for the last part. The sample is still speeding up. What am I doing wrong? I tried it with 2.0.1 & the 1.0.5 (update from 3.0 JJ). Holla atcha boy.

As I stated there, that has nothing to do with timestretch. It´s just quantized sequencing of a pitched sample. The reason why it seems like it´s timestretching is the nature of the sample used, those short guitar hits don´t seem to change in length in different pitches just because they are so short. Using another kind of sample as source where there´s not that much silence you´ll hear what actually happens and the result will be dissatisfying.

It´s really natural if you think about what you´re actually doing:

PP = Locking a bunch of slices to the current TC. In reality not in anyway different from manually programing samples in the seq, just a more lazy approach.

16 levels / Pitch = Tuning a sample up and down by the standard means of pitch shifting, that is slowing down or speeding up the sample.

...Yeah, I used a sample of a song to see the result and it locked the beginning of each chopped part to the tempo, but still sped up within each part. Like if each section stretched to the space it would have worked. How can I do that?
