Got the 2kxlmcd - but serious errors

Alright, received my MPC2000XL MCD a few hours ago... I ordered the MAXED OUT mpc2000xl mcd with 32 mb ram and 8 outs from vstservice.... I come from the 1000 - but I can tell this 2000 aint workin. Whenever I twist the data wheel, it plays a BUNCH of samples randomly, switches through menus before locking up completely. I cant get anything done. it seems to be working fine when i DONT touch the data wheel, but once i move it the whole thing **** up....

Help? Could my RAM be bad? Ive tried reinstalling the OS already but it didnt help.

If you got it from VST, try returning it to them. Call them first to acknowledge that there's a problem, they should have a pretty customer service in helping you out.

VST is where I got my 2000XL (maxed out). If not mistaken, I believe they give you a 6 month service warranty on that machine, so service shouldn't be a problem.

For some reason its working fine now. I left it with the power off for a few hours, and then it suddenly started working perfectly. I didnt do anything;)

but be careful, might start acting up on u again.. Might be a defective peice of hardware init. like memory.. find out about their return policy.
