First....I do have a real job. Slingin MPCs and talkin shitz in the forums is just what I do..but I also teach the kids when needed (while most of you just post RTFM ).

Actually, I really don't believe Antonym is making that much money. If he was, he would be using something else to craft his Malibu's Most Wanted beatz

jealousy because you're in the unofficial os3 forum when you dont even have a mpc1000. how are YOU able to write songs when you spend so much time in a forum for a product you dont even have nor tried? wtf? everyone sees your points and they're valid but no one here gives a f*** simply because "at least 30 bugs" is worth at least 30 new features. shit happens when you're working with someone elses code. everyone disses akai because of how long it took for them to get os 2.1 out. yeah they b*tched about the bugs but that was only because they had nothing else to do. they weren't satisfied with the os. everyone with a mpc1000 using the unofficial os is f'ing satisfied. seriously, satisfied. the bugs dont matter. this os is like heroin to me no joke. JJ isn't changing the format of any of the files. so if JJ releases an OS and it doesn't work out for you, you can just downgrade... your project is not affected. this is obvious though so i dont know why you're mentioning it & still i dont know why you're in the unofficial os3 forum wtf. there is something about this OS that gets to you and causes you to be here. typically people tend to be around the things they are into...unless they have nothing better to do. the os for the 2500 will come out soon enough & you can secretly use it and pretend that you 'tried it but still rock the original akai os because the new one is full of bugs' all you want. hopefully the mpc2500 forum will care as much as we do mr. entertainment ;D $30 for step edit was worth it for me. everything else i consider a bonus.

But I do agree with some of you. I need to spend more time with the Mac and Digital Performer set-up I just purchased. Then I can spend all my time in the forums debating which is better...Mac or PC

I unlike 90% of this board actually have a job in the music industry sorry to burst your little bubble. So while I'm cutting records you can have your lil MPC discussions just dont be a post whore in a forum about a piece of equipment you dont even own or use.

Check this out...most catz in the industry make very little money. The guys around here may not know this...but I do sonny boy. Also, anybody and their momma can 'cut records'. I have the ability to put out a CD right now if that is what I wanted to do (as well as the other 90% of people in the forum you are talking about). So what you are saying is not amazing at all. In fact, it suprises me that you have taken time from your busy industry job (ie, mail room clerk ) to hang out with us gear heads talking about MPCs. And although I joke everyday about the 1000, it is pretty identical to the MPC 2500 so your argument is null/void. Yes, I use an MPC 2500 that costs twice as much as a 1000. Hell, practically everything in my studio costs as much or more than a 1000. My effects card in my computer costs more than a 1000. Nuendo 3, which I use for multi-tracking cost more than my MPC 2500 So what's my point? Nothing really. Just go back to your mailroom job and leave the gear talk to us...er..MPC heads. Talkin about MPCs instead of actually using them is what I do. If you need a tutorial on how to use the 1000 as a toe nail clipper, hit a brother up
