so I got the 1000
i got the latest os by jj
and i'd like to start fresh and erase everything previously loaded by the cat i bought the mp from, it came with a flash card and i've already erased everything off of that but some of the samples that were on the flash card i notice are still in the mpc even after i reboot, so they must be in some special memory hold right...

so I want to erase all samples, all sequences, programs, program names just start completely fresh

erase/format the internal memory so you have no samples or any thing else saved internaly, then load the new os

I tried to format the INTERNAL mem with the JJ Os installed... didn't work somehow... So just to get no samples loaded I just created an empty AUTOLOAD Folder, which has a similar effect - no samples loaded at startup.

Huh,

can't you just turn off the autoload function, so that the mpc boots up "empty"?

(This refers to JJ-OS 4.01 - full version)

Main Window - hit mode - then the LOAD button.

There will be an option F4 (A.LOAD) - press it, then switch the autoload from internal to OFF.

If you want to clean the internal memory sounds - goto LOAD.

Then change the selection from CF-Card/HD to INTERNAL.

When it's highlighted - press WINDOW.

the F2 button should do what your searchin' for.

very cool. thanks ,

so what is the best way to actualy set up your own autoload, i imagine this feature is for set's of samples that you use all of the time, are there any helpful tips for this or things that I should avoid?

Actually, that did not do it for me. I could not erase any sounds in the internal memory. The F2 button did not do anything for me. I am working with 4.01.

Oohh!

Might be, didn't verify it - because I didn't care, that there's something saved in the internal memory.

But I thought the button should do what it says - format ????

Soooo, why did JJ implement it, if it doesn't do what it's supposed too?

I am trying to erase all internal memory stock sounds.... this method doesnt work for me :(

pressing WINDOW in LOAD / INTERNAL mode brings Sample Assign To Pad option.

So how to properly erase entire internal memory in JJOS 4.67 ?

anyone?

this was covered already...

after u turn on > go to program
delete ALL_PROGRAMS > than PURGE

load one short sample
go to save > select one&only possible option for internal >
all-programs&samples > do it

now uve got only one sample in internal, nothing more

wanna have some special settings for default program01?
make those settings to program01 and like above
hope that helps
