I want to record the kick of my beaet in Cubase.
Midi is working fine. But if he record in Cubase. The kick comes later in cubase. So I cannot loop the beat correctly.

I'm assuming you are trying to track a kick track from your MPC into Cubase. If you made all your settings correct (Cubase to send out MIDI clock data and MPC to recieve MIDI clock data) then there shouldn't be a noticeable delay. Make sure you adjust the settings for your soundcard accordingly so there is as little latency as possible. i.e. set it to a high priority, use dithering etc. Also make sure that you adjust the tempo in Cubase to fixed and match it to the same tempo as your MPC.

But optimizing the settings for your Soundcard is usually the culprit for latency. Otherwise it can also be a problem with Cubase itself as I've heard of alot of people having latency and midi timing issues.

Sorry I was not able to be as helpful

that won't help us anyway to put blank bar on,if we need to sync all, anyway the latence stays the same...

it's a bug with os1.2 thru 1.22

try installing os1.1 and your kick will line up perfectly

U should wait before goin'back to the 1.21,I can tell ya cause before I had this trouble with every os,I don't think it's a os problem...

i guarantee it's an os problem. this has been discussed in numerous threads. the only thing to do is go back to os 1.1

try it.

how feckin twats is that then??

I was just about getting to this point myself. I thought it was my setup.

So.....WI, if you do what episode says and insert empty bars on the MPC not cubase, why doesnt that resolve as a workaround?

Akai.... c'mon. Pull your finger outta that MPC500
