this mpc 1000 is my first mpc,...
with akai s os 1.7 i refused to by a sampler with no delay!!! os 2.0 came out and i decided to buy this stuff and i was surprised how musical the
programmin is....(i m analog synth addict and i need knobs) jj s os gave me 150 percent more workflow....more delay!!! grid editing!!!! for the price of three beers...!!!!! the laptop size is perfect with my live setup, not too big,not heavy(for the morning after the concerts,...) and solid...big screen.....good and quick infos, i can t imagine a 2500 or a 4000 in the train when i m trAvellin....but the 1000 makes it. sound is fat, timing solid!
it seems to be the best of the different worlds.....(for me, in my case...)
the great benefit also, from the evolution of the concept, since roger linns beginning days....as other companies must reinvent the thing everytime: ex. mc 808 with its bad timing....(makes the motorfader useless!!!) less is sometimes more.....! when u re tryin to bring it to the point.....i belive the mpc concept will grow as so much musicians are helpin to make it better , it s a interesting thing that after the release of jjs os 1.0, used mpc 1000 became rare on ebay......
