Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Yep, I cancelled the order. I snapped out of it...and figured out that this would be a toy I'd play with for awhile and then go back to my regular MPC. The thing that bothered me most was lack of audio outs. I had to be honest with myself and figured the cash could be spent elsewhere....like an MPC2500. I still think it is cool if you travel or are away from home alot.

In my opinion that thing is a rip off. I'd rather get used 1k instead.

I have the 1000 already... I don't like having two of the same machine...but like to run two drum machines at a time...one for sample based stuff, one for synth based stuff.

for tht price, the 500 is a rip off.

its seems like a nice little piece of gear, but in order for me to buy it, it'll have to be lowered by $300.

Haven't heard anything yet...I did it via e-mail... but generally they don't have a problem. Why would they?

My advice: phone them and make sure they cancelled it for real.

One time I cancelled an order there and they screwed up and charged me for it and were about to ship... fortunately i saw the shipping mail in time to phone them and straighten it out.

I should emphasize, they are honest guys and fixed things right away for me and apologized for the small mistake. I would buy from them again, no problem.

I dunno

I spend alot of time on the subway going to work, school and a mp 500 is really the last thing I would want to have to carry along

but my 202, or 404..thats a different story.

I agree...the subways and path trains are too busy most of the time to use anything but a PDA, iPod, Or a Gameboy.

the 500 is a luxury. I dont think anyone really needs it. But it would be damn sweet to own one!

has anyone noticed the lack of press this unit has been getting? No reviews, articles or adverts? which is ironic because the 500 is the most marketable mpc yet!
