nothing mainly due to no 60/3000 file support for starters. However a 4000 might be on the cards or at least trying to find one for my mate to upgrade from his 2000XL. He's ready for the next level....

The 2500 is a beast in its own right IMO.
The 4000 is def next level, and i love mine. The 2500 has been cool in past few months though. Im going straight into a neve compressor and eq and its like heaven.

I hated on the 2500, but I have to admit once I gave it the chance I was done with the whole 60/3k thing without a doubt.
True the 4k is some next type sh*t but only if you let it do it's thing and don't try to box it into being just another MPC.
Way I see it the 2500 was designed to give MPC users more features while keeping the more classic MPC workflow, the 4k was designed for people with deep needs and a more expanded workflow.
It's really easy to tell which one is a better fit if you can spend some real time using them.

I'll probably cop a 3500 if it can sample @ the same rate as the 4K and is smaller...to make beats faster so I can sell them
besides that nothing, I've been making some real ill beats on just the 60 so I don't know what more I could want..running my drums through the 160x and soon to get an Avedi EQ

It kills the SSL. The 383 has nice pre's for vocals but the EQ is like a brick wall............just ain't musical.
API is the shit man.
Will be banging all weekend

Same here man.....................I love my 3000 and get a completly different vibe when programming on it..............but also love the speed of the 2500...............
U do have 2 work the low end though.
Just ordered two API 550b which will cure that problem.
Do u have them both linked up?

I checked out the 2500, I liked it, it is a dope machine & looks great.
If you could cram the 3000 inside the 2500, I'd jump for sure.
(now THAT would be a mod!)
I actually almost bought one, cuz its a nice machine & felt pretty solid.
Though I just couldn't see leaving the 3000, and to me there is a serious difference in the sound.
I still may get one, not sure what for, but it's the only newer MPC I'd consider.
