PLEASE HELP. IS MY 2000XL 100% COMPATIBLE WITH THE 2500

IM LOOKIN TO PURCHASE THE AKAI 2500. I HAV A 2000XL. IM HEREING THE 2000XL ZIPS WILL NOT LOAD INTO THE 2500. I ALSO HEER THE CDR DRIVE DOES NOT SAVE AND LOAD SOUNDS/SONGS. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WIT INFO AND TIPS, I APPRECIATE. THANX FOR UR TIME

You should be good loading SEQ, WAV, and SND files...but you may/may not have issues loading PGM files..some parameters may not load.


The 2500 doesn't have a zip drive. You will have to transfer your XL files to a CF card or transfer them to a PC to later move to the 2500 over USB/CF card.


The CDRW drive can only burn CD audio tracks.
