I guess when i get realll into a beat im puttin down on my 3000, i bang down on the soft keys extra hard, and i broke off keys 1 and 3, but i switched the remaining two around to keys 2 and 3, and i use the opposite end of a pen to push in the missing keys...anyway i tried looking around online to order the parts and the AKAI service people kept thinking i was talking about the actual pads (idiots), so i was wondering if anyone knew a website or somewhere to call to order them.

For the "SOFT KEY TOP PIECES" call VST SERVICE.

For anyone interested.

Block 33, (REC + OVERDUB), SK378253D, KNOB OPERATE (D)

Block 32, (STOP + PLAY + PLAYSTART), SK378253B, KNOB OPERATE (B)

Block 31, (<< + < + LOCATE + > + >>), SK378253A, KNOB OPERATE (A)

Block 30, (ERASE + TIMINGCORRECT + TAPTEMPO + HELP), SK419827J, KNOB OPERATE(E)

Block 27, (- + ), SK419762J, PUSH BUTTON (A)

Block 29, ( Cursor Keys ), SK419764J, PUSH BUTTON (C)

Block 29 is the piece you will possibly be most interested in.

Block 29 in the machines I have serviced appears twice. One instance intact as a single assembly for the CURSOR KEYS. The other seemingly snapped into single pieces for use as "SOFT KEY TOP PIECES"

For the "TACT-SWITCHES" that sit under the "SOFT KEY TOP PIECES"; find the appropriate posting in these threads:
