Tracking problem

Whenever I track my beats out of my MPC 2500 and into cubase, I hear a bunch of crackling when I play it back....I'm using a Delta M-Audio 44 soundcard/breakout box....If I record audio out of my PC and into my MPC,(direct recording something from Reason/Trilogy), it sounds fine and I don't hear any crackling...at first i was thinking that it could be the cheap cables i got, but since i don't hear any crackling when i record into my mpc, i thought that it could be something else...anyone know wuts up? do i need to mess around with my soundcard?

to help troubleshoot the problem, try raising your buffer size to 1024 and see what happens...

let us know your problem in more detail ie soundcard settings, cubase settings, any more specifics on the actual process you are taking etc...

ah this could possibly be the problem...when i went to change the buffer size, something popped up mentioning that if it is set too low, you will get pop and click noises and that s exactly wut i get...it's 12:30 now and i have to be up at 6 so i don't have time to really mess with anything...but tomorrow if i have time i'll see if this was truly the problem

i'm still getting crackling...here is my setup in Nuendo (i know i said cubase at first) on the right are my soundcard settings and the left are the project settings for Nuendo..i put the buffer size to the max but i still get crackling...could putting the buffer size to the max cause crackling if it is too much? i tried some in between but no luck...is there a way to find the proper buffer size?
