disk read error

wassup folks,
Just recently my MP does not save. When I sample something and try to save it (zip drive)... starts but then it says "disk read error" I tried to save on different disks but getting the same results. Now I don't want to turn it off becauseI have a project that can't be saved. Any suggestions?

Im having a similar problem with loading.. Whenever i load i get that message..

I have had disk read error when its saved in the past .. but thats only when the disk is full.. so i knew what that was..

So you've tried saving and it comes up with Disk Read Error.. i know you dont wanna turn it off.. At some point your gonna have to turn it off.. when you do can you check to see if anything saved at all??

when I turn it off nothin has saved at all. One of my disks are full but some of the others I have are not and it still says disk read error. I'm gona buy some brand new disks and see what happens. If it continues I guess I will be looking to get an upgrade to a multi card reader.

how bout loading up stuff off the disks?? that work ok?

no problems loading mid., snd. or pgm. from any of my zips. That is what bugs me, the only problem i have is saving work that I have done. Very weird thing.

Thats def. weird that loading is no problem.. have you tried just saving things one at a time to see if its one particular file type that is screwing things up.

i.e. try just saving a sequence.. then try just a sound.. then try all sequences.. then try a program.. it might be one type that is not working..

And maybe get a new disk and see if that helps too..

Sorry im low on idea's.. its a bit of a tricky one..

yeah it saved a sound once , but then it didn't do it again...It is really pissin me off cause i can't do any work. Anyway Iplan on getting a multi card reader and hopefully that doesn't give me problems.
