Drum Pads and the MPC2500

|Has anyone out there any experience, hooking up a Drum Pad (via MIDI) with the MPC2500? I'm thinking in terms of a Roland SPD-20 or whatever it's called, G

No experience...but it should be very simple to set-up. MIDI OUT of the drum pad to a MIDI IN of your MPC.

Sorry I'll rephrase. Experience with Drum Pads working the MPC, is what I mean. It would strike me that being able to use drum sticks, as one would with a Drum Pad, would have certain advantages, provided it can send on Velocity information to the MPC. Anyone using that route? G

iv hooked up my yamaha dd55 it works aight, using my foot pedals from my dd55 in the fronts cool too, pretty much no one uses that pedal function

I use a roland spd-s for snare rolls and flams and weird kik timing. It works just like you think it would , very responsive to Vel.

I use a Kat pad that has MIDI out . I amactually thinking of selling it. Let me know if you are interested..

I thought that the MPC pads were some of the most ... responsive / sensitive on the market.

Wouldnt they be better to bash?
