so... i installed 32 megs of ram a few weeks ago and now its only reading half of it. i opened it up and the bottom ram is loose and wiggling. wtf. what are my options here? the top one seems to work fine, so i was thinking i'd just get a 32 meg chip, the Mitsubishi MH8H325CNJ which is supposed to work and just use that. on a preliminary ebay/froogle search nothing at all came up for that ram. any ideas on where to find it, or fix my existing problem cheaply? any help here would be great i'm stressing. thanks in advance.

Just make sure it's properly seated, sometimes it takes a good push to get it.
If you don't feel comfortable with that, take it to a local repair shop.

i could sit here and make excuses... blame the PBR or the weed but i'm just gonna man up and say it right now... I'm an idiot. Yeah the ram wasn't properly seated, because I FORGOT TO PUSH THE RAM UP. i had left it in tilted, didn't realize what everyone meant by saying it clicks in. so problem fixed, thanks so much, i'm very very relieved.

No Probs, it is a little freaky if you have never messed with that stuff before.
I added RAM to my G5 and it didn't seat properly, and I freaked out.
The computer wouldn't even boot up, I then took a break, thought about it and reseated it.
It's all good, now I know how to do that.
