i need a new drum machine

My current fave is the korg er 1,sampled the hell out of that thing,and only $150- used.I need a new drum machine to sample from, any thing good and not too expensive that i can tweek.ps i sample it all to my mp 2kxl.

Let me know what you use, i tryed vinyl but i go for single hits,and vinyl seems like too much work for that.what about software drums-any one use them?

I bought that drum machine for my little brother a few years back and he loved it. I was amazed at how versatile it was for it's size and class of machine. I made some heat on it and then gave it to him and he thought it was a preset demo .

yeah...I made a drum track so tight on there that some dude said I was gonna get sued because my pattern came with the machine......Lamp...you know thaz funny...

I like to customize sounds, it hard to do that with sample cd's.
The drum machine seems like a dieing breed, with all this software stuff coming out. i bought the alesis H R B by mistake
because someone recomended it, not cool at all.Any secret weapons lurking out there- kick down! Ima get real pushy in here in a minute..

I like the tr-606, it's pretty cheap nowadays too.

I use everything, it's also not hard to customize sounds you get from CD. I process everything I get to suit my needs. I'm an equal opportunity samplist. I sample from everywhere and anything.

if you want really cheap...get a Zoom 123. Lots of drum and bass sounds on the zoom drum machines.

i'm running the KorgER1 and an old AlesisSR16 together with a few other things of which i recommend the RolandSH32 as a sound module. it's got some nice stock sounds and they can all be filtered and cycled. it's also got synth sounds and is running $250 bucks. low end boost, two effects engines and a few other things....really a great deal.

I think i'm stuck in a rut, figuring the more drum sounds i have the better,
but sometimes less is more.......
