Does anybody have any idea on why a recorded track isnt playing back correctly ie; off-beat? When i record a drum track i hear it correctly although upon playback its wakd!?

This is my sisuation. If you dont understand the above, I have just purchased mpc1k for $1500 aus. dollars. I AM PISSED OFF. I record a kick and snare. ( same tracks & then different tracks ) I play back the track and it sounds space apart & all fckd up.

What sort of issue could this be? timing, sync, stepedit, quantize, pads??

Dont just read this and then bang away on your MPC that works just fine, Feel my pain and share yo knowledge!

peace

yeah, hold down the tap tempo button and select 1/32

that should get it closer

make sure you don't have it on triplets, you will probably drop sounds that way as well.

No I'm not the MPC king of the world, KidGreen, I wasn't trying to be a smartass, I've only had mine for 2 months and I had similar problems to ones Ive been seeing on here. I just kept pounding away at it and studying the manual, and I still have a lot to figure out! Sorry I didn't mean to come off like an a$$

shut off the TC until u understand how to use it... Once u understand how to use it....it'll be helpful to u.. most folks dont know how to use it. They pick 1/16 TC and hit fix...but dont select a specific pad to correct and the MPC corrects all notes(pads, events) so it makes the sequence retarded.... When u have a problem or a Question..give as much info as possible...Peace out and Good Luck

I've had the 1k for a while now and have finally got round to treating myself to the 1k eBook...because up till now I've read the manual and still not entirely sure how best to approach anything...it all seemed far too daunting.

Anyway, a few days into ploughing through the eBook and the small amount of practice, I feel much better about using the 1k and a bit less intimidated by it. If you're not from a sampling type background, I'd recommend grabbing yourself the eBook...
