ok everybody. Mise well get my post out here. Im pulling my hair out trying to make this MPC2000 midi with the PC. It is almost seeming impossible. I have Sonar6 and Adobe Audition 2.0 that i cant get the midi to work on. these newer programs dont have many midi settings on it. and i hit play on the MPC it is waiting for time code at the bottom and no go. Ive been trying everything all day today for the past 10 hours and so not i guess i will post.
All i want to do is simply record audio onto the computer from my mixer.
and i want my MPC2000 classic to time trigger the computer to record in time. Im sure that cant be to difficult.
I can only get it to work with friuty loops 6. So i know i have the cables and stuff hooked up right.
But these 2 programs seem to lack the user ablilty to send and receive a midi time code at 30 FPS.
and i have mmc off on both send and receiveon the mpc.
So all i would like to do it record basic free flow on the computer this way.
The PC is a 1.4GHZ WinXP with mass memory and a Soundblaster live 5.1 and i have the midi plug in to the game port and those go to the MPC.
Midi worrks from the keyboard to the mpc fine. but i am just missing something here
all i want to do is get my mpc to start the computer recording or when i hit record it will start the mpc playing. as simple as that has became such a difficult problem. I been just starting it manually but i am about to buy a 8track ADAT if i cant get this to work. this is terrible
i have access to older versions of many software and stuff at the other studio so if i am just using the wrong stuff let me know to. grrrr. hehehe
