I'm haveing trouble transferring samples from my pc to my mpc 2000xl.I have a zip drive installed on my pc and also a zip drive installed on my mpc.

The idea was to sort out all my samples on my pc then transfer them via zip to the mpc.I have 15 zip disks altogether and i have tried every single one.To my suprise one of these disks actually registers in my pc and also in my mpc.

When i insert it into the mpc it comes up as "PC" format(so yes i can transfer samples from pc to mpc,but its a pain to have to keep using the same zip all the time).

So i formatted a different disk in my pc then inserted it into the mpc,but the mpc says unknown format. So i formatted that same disk in my mpc then inserted it into my pc and my pc wont recognise theres a disk in the drive.

A friend of mine is also haveing this same problem with floppy disks on his Mpc 2000.

If anyone has any ideas on how i can format zip disks so they register in my pc and my mpc ,it would be much appreciated also if anyone knows anything about formatting floppys on the 2000 would also be appreciated.THANX :D

Format zip disk on pc w/ fat16, use filenames on zipdisk no longer than 8 characters.

Now, drag and drop whatever you like from pc to zip disk, should load just fine.

Remeber, 44khz/16bit wav files.

Have fun..

I don't have a MAC but nothing is stopping you from trying it.
