mpc2000 cakewalk question

I am trying to track A beat that I made on my mpc 200 to cakewalk studio 2002 when I track my beat in and play it back it sounds like the beat has static. I have the mpc running thru my mixer to a EMU 1010 sound card.

What could be the problem?

when you play it back change the the "khz"....

change the speed on the sample engine........

change it from like 44.1 to 48.0 (vice versa)

or

change the bit rate from 16bit to 24it (vice versa)
