Next I need to get a good laptop. Whats a good one or what are you all using (besides a Mac)...Im also goin to use the MPC 2000 and Triton Extreme with the Reason
Seeing as you have the MPC and triton you dont need the most powerful and expensive lap top because a lot of of your sound sources will be comeing from the hardware freeing up computer resources so thats cool.
There are many laptops to choose from. Would suggest avoiding Sony Viaos. they look great but I have had problems with two of them a tech support in the uk is terrible.
Look at toshiba sattelites, I have had a couple of those and they have been very good. I also have a powerbook titanium mac laptop which has been totally solid now for three years. Its not powerful by todays standards but you can pick them up quite cheap now and for what you will be doing would be good. But the sattelite will be much faster if you get a new one. A 2ghz toshiba is good value and powerful enough for your needs.
