Damn. I know this was brought up before, but has anyone found a new part we can replace it with? I hate it. It feels cheap and sounds like it's gonna break.

Boo.

Every post I've read of yours is nothing but bitching. If you don't like the machine, sell it. Why did you buy it if all you are going to do is b!tch about it's performance? Get over it and quit with these posts.

Man. Sounds like you're cranky. AND if you really did read all of my posts, i think you will find that I have been quite helpful as well as opening discussion for some new topics.

I'm on my MPC daily. AND it's quite at home here. It's not my fault that I expect the BEST when I work. If sub-par is fine by you... that's your call but don't tell me you think that data wheel can't be replaced with a better part.

After I speak with Akai and get the information on this part a friend of mine will be searching for a better replacement part. THEN if there is one, I will post it here.

Does this still sound like bitching? I don't think so. Sounds more like I'm soliciting feedback on finding a better replacement part.

No, I didnt read all your posts. If you read what I wrote, I said, "Every post that I read of yours......." so as far as I am concerned, all I see from you is bitching. You were crying about the index! Get over it. Maybe do a little research on what your buying before you commit and have start shedding tears because it isn't what you hoped for. I dont think the machine is sub-par at all. I am perfectly at home with it. I dont even really use the data wheel to tell you the truth. Their are ways around it. I guess you couldnt figure that out because the INDEX doesn't spell it out for you. Quit crying and deal with it or buy a new machine!

As for your super duper MPC skills - I'm so proud you can get around without the data wheel. That's just the coolest skill to brag about.

Jeez. Get over your lame attitude bro. You won't see any more responses to your comments from me. I can no longer be bothered with your negativity.

Awww, it's okay son. Don't get all sad. I wasn't bragging about knowing how to work around the data wheel....... That's common knowledge. Common knowledge that you weren't aware of obviously(Damn INDEX). You wouldn't be bitching about tha data wheel if you were. I dont have any negativity BRA, I'm just tired of reading posts where your complaining about one feature or another about the 2500. Like I said, get over it or do yourself a favor and sell it.

I've been wondering why he bought the 2500 myself.

Back to the topic, if Shane is lookin for a better wheel im with him, compared to the 2000 one the new one sox big time! I nearly dont use it anymore, i feel it like a piece of a toy (but expensive) that will broke one of these day so...
I dont understand why people is so hostile just for a topic, coz is negative...lol
Data Wheel of 2500 is s.hit, thats it, if its possible to replace it ill be one of the first with Shane to do it.
If people should post just how satisfied they are with 2500 this section of forum would be just unuseful
just my 2c

I'm all for a better wheel too, but I don't think there is a viable option yet. If there is, please let me know and I'll be among the first to try it!

I wasn't being hostile, just having a little fun :)

Cheers,

I'm of the opinion that its not actually the wheel itself but the mech that the wheel sits on. So replacing the wheel wouldnt actually help - perhaps?
