Just got my mpc2kxl back from repair!

Just got my mpc2kxl back from repair of the note variation slider!

basically what happened:
I was on my way to throw out some old boxes that where just taking up place in my studio.
I walked right into the n/v slider with a box and broke it....

I called up a music store here in sweden (JAMSHOP.SE) the same day and asked them if they could replace my broken slider..

it took me 700 crowns and 4 weeks to get it back... 700 Swedish crowns is 90 US $

Got it back today and I'm looking forward to continue my beat experiments...

90 dollars for a simple slider,not so cheap...but,glad that you've got your machine back and you can go on with your work
I wonder how much they would charge me in Poland for a replacement like that...don't even want to guess,but probably more than 90 bucks

what actually broke on it that would cost $90?

the actual part that slides on the n/V slider got bent and broke some component inside of the slider part..... 90 bucks is a bit much..... but i can't work without the slider...
need it for the editing the samples and the note variation in the sequences.. you know...

but i been thinking of buy'n more spare replacement parts... just in case in the future if I brake something else... or if something gets consumed...

damn 90 is steep..

i looked at the NV slider on the 2k and all it is, is a part soldered to the main board.. so all they had to do is order a new part and solder it in place of the bad slider..

vst charges about 75 for the data wheel, eventho the wheel parts itself is like 5 bucks..
