And here I am thinking everything was wav, that was time wasted.

READ MY FIRST POST about MY ISSUE!!!bizzzla wrote:Lampdog wrote:harlej wrote:My advice is - don't sample mp3's...
my problem is that once i have the sample in the mpc its jus ONE big FLAT line...even normalize does nothing wether i do it on the mpc or on the computer... any ideas on that? makes for choppin to be mad difficult but makes my ear drum stay on which can't be bad.....

I already have THE sample
IN THE MPC, which means its in wav format.. what i'm tellin you is that, in the mpc TRIM mode to be exact, its jus ONE big flat LINE.. per the manual normalize can be of assistance but it did nothing... so i went to soundforge 4.0 which CANNOT read mp3.. so I had to convert the mp3 to .WAV format, i chopped my sample in SOUNDFORGE... i did normalize in sound forge, saved the sample(AGAIN) to my CF card opened it up (AGAIN) in the mpc TRIM mode and again ONE big flat line...i can play it fine and all that but it makes it mad hard to chop cuz EVERYTHING is one big flat line...
I don't get how yall thought i was tryin to put an mp3 into my mpc since i SPECIFICALLY sed "once i have the sample in the mpc"...but ay maybe yall aint' READ IT right or maybe i didn't make it clear enough my bad..
but yeah jus curious on how yall would go about this? like i sed i ain't try to beef on no computer and i apologize if i'm comin across hood but nah none of that i appreciate yall even takin time to read and reply..
fo sho!
thank you much
