Yo, Mo'

I learn this from the Great Naoya of Akai Professional Inc.

Go to Seq edit press F3 (copy) twice you will come to a new Sequence edit page and you can select the sequnce and track to copy to from there.

Hope it Helps

blue haze and doc beats explanation is aright! but this function could have been implemented better! read also this thread on another fourm
http://pub52.ezboard.com/fdpsworldfrm5. ... =305.topic
it dials with similar prob and sean (akai) says that there is some sort of bug!
once you're in copy&paste window make sure that copy range is selected correctly (it doesn't do it default on the items u select)! also as u can read in the other thread copyin one pad works fine whereas there is some sort of prob copying all (pads)!
moreover: this function seems to work better in step edit (as u can also read in the message)
... and the message on the other forum contains a link to this forum back where the whole **** (i just noticed) is explained even better!
anyhow! at the current stage of os this feature is not really useful since u can always copy to clipboard and paste from there which doesn't take much longer and works fine! i hope and am quite sure they fix this bug with next os!
cheers

Alto, u on crack or somthin'?
the thread ya're linkin' to got nothin' to do with Mo's Qs 'bout COPY TO.

Mo, I told ya in the other thread on this forum:
Mo, when ya're doin' Copy To, check yer copy range.
If it's 001.01.000-001.01.000, da 4K won't do nothin' 'coz it's got nothin' to copy.
COPY TO works perfect in 1.51!

There are several ways to impliment the sequence copy and doctor beat hit the problem on the head. Everybody`s right as long as they`re helping another MPC producer out. I was wondering where`s the love. I hope we don`t have any haters on this board. If it works why hate!!!!!

Peace Mohammad

[quote="Doctor Beat"]Alto, u on crack or somthin'?

nah man! crack is **** but your not completely wrong ... got some great wead! ... better  and 8) than postin confusin posts! it was not intended! ... sorry for that!

i know its not the same thread but within the trhread (after hours of tapin n readin) ... i noticed that mohammed was askin the same quest on another topic in this forum and you where givin the same answer as hear!

i myself was to lazy to delete the whole **** so i just finished! anyhow i think the whole feature ain't very useful at the current stage of os! if i select the range of notes already in step edit / seq edit when startin to copy the copy range should be set! if i have to reset it again i prefer copin to clipboard ... basta!

oh yeah! and even though the topics are def different i think it dials with the similar sort of bug! m sure they gonna be fixed both (if one considers not selectin the copy range automatically a bug) with the next os!

no hate people! ... peace and over!

... no wait! i got another question regarding copyin stuff (it just came up now while chatin) and i admit while makin' music when those probs come up i m often to lazy to take the ref. manual! ... that brings one out of concept!

is it possible to copy notes from one pad to another? for example i play a bass, strinng melody (keygroup program) on a lets say C3, B2! it is played without timin correct and therefor quite difficult to play in exactly the same way on a lets say a G3,F3! but i want to have it there onthe next swequence! therefore, .... bingo ... i would like to copy it from my C3,B2 to the G3,F3!

is it possible? (other then with the transpose function!)

thanx

no hate, man, just luv, sweet luv :)

oh yeah, I see what ya mean now. Sure, that'd be betta but I don't think it's a bug.

'bout your Q, I dunno if ya copy from one pad to another, other than copyin' each pad to a different track and transposin' the tracks.
Let us kno if ya find a betta way.

Peace

mohammed!

this is the thread! the answer is under your post in doc beats post! ... enough said about that now i think! peace!

doc! i see you just postet about 50 posts here! ... i don't elieve your a newby mpc-wise! most of your posts contain great advices! thanx for that! i m in your debt ... post a quest and i'll answer! ... well, ... at least i'll try!!!

my quest from last post: i don't want to necessarily copy pads! if i can copy one midi note from a C3 to a G3 (without usin the transpose feature) i m already happy! don't think that it is implemented, even though i'll search further for this feature! i'll let u know! if anyone knows already have a go please!

cheers
