Man I just got off the phone with some friends that just found out about that Roland 8000. Now I dont wont to come off as a hater or anything...but I am down with the MPC 2000 XL for ever!. I understand that other things are coming out that do things faster and to some point better. But it should be. After all how old is the MPC now?

After working on this last prject I worked on, I found that Prince (now I did not say I was working with Prince - Just something I found out about him) has been using a Len Drum for many years. Almost never used anything other than that. Do your home work and check out some of the older tracks and you can hear it.

So when I say the few kits I have (and have reworked to get that sound) I might not ever put my MPC down. No matter what comes out.

Ok I must say, I did put it down for some time, because I was not working on tracks as much, just doing recording. But now I am back, and the MPC is back in action with me.

So I dont care what comes out, as long as I can do my thing with the MPC - I am down.

Now I must say this as well. It would be nice if Akai could show us some love with the MPC 2000 XL. Too many of them out for them to just leave us hanging with out something new for it.

Man ive only been messin with a 2000xl for a few months and i couldnt picture myself using anything else. The first mpc i had ever used in person was a 1000 and after getting over the fact that it was an mpc and how cool it was to finally use one i couldnt get into it. I was always attracted to the 2000xl. I love the look, the size, the feel of the pads. Haha it sounds like im talking about some women or something but for real the 2000xl is a beautiful piece of equipment and i will always have it in my arsenal of equipment.

So basically word to the 2000xl, i love you baby hahah

The 2kxl has had it's turn to live, had it's turn to shine and it did very well, it's over now. Recognize that, live long and prosper.
